“Ohhhh Cordeliaaaa!” Austin said in a sing-song fashion. He was grinning from ear to ear once he approached his friend in speaking. The Diva Business member couldn’t help but smile seeing her friend. It had been months since they last seen each other, but she knew with that tone of voice, something was up.

“Yes Aussie?” Cordelia responded fixing her long black hair.

Holding up a finger, Austin retrieved his phone from his pocket. “Siri, who’s the best team in baseball?” A grinning Austin asked.

After a quick beep, Siri gave its answer.“Ok, the Angels appear to be in first place in the MLB right now.” It was music to his ears and complete dread to Cordelia who was a die-hard Tigers fan. As long as the two had known each other, they had a friendly rivalry when it came to baseball. After being forced to wear a Tiger jersey and witnessing a few losses last year, this was a moral victory for Austin.

“Something tells me that you couldn’t wait to do that.” Cordelia sighed shaking her head, but it was nice to see her Aussie so cheerful.

“I couldn’t and next Monday we’re in Anaheim; no need in telling you what trunks I’ll be wearing that day.”

“Just don’t go overboard, but enjoy it while it lasts.” Cordelia smirked. “The season isn’t over yet Aussie, we’re still going to make the playoffs.” She was right. They still had until October, and anything could happen from now until then.

“Yeah, you Torii thieves.”

“You still have Trout.” Cordelia wrapped her arms around Austin knowing that it would bring a smile to his face.

“He’s so dreamy and makes more money than all of us. If they play extra innings, do you want to go to the game on Monday? So you can see how a first place gets it done?”

The dark-haired diva rolled her pretty eyes. It was a good thing they were best friends and former tag team partners on occasion. “Maybe, but if they were that good, they’d get the job done in nine.” Cordelia smirked.

“Touché”

“Shouldn’t you be getting ready for the show Aussie?”

“Always ready Cordy baby.”

“Whatever you say Aussie.”

Lilian Garcia flashed a perfect smile as she stood in the center of the squared circle. Smack!Down had just come on air for its televised taping and it was going to start with a bang. “Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome back to Friday Night Smack!Down, Austin Blake!”

Much like at Summer Slam and on Raw, the former Intercontinental Champion had a warm welcome as ‘Feels like Forever’ played across the P.A system. After getting his cue, the man stepped out onto the new stage.

“What an ovation!” Cole couldn’t help but laugh as Austin retrieved a microphone from the steel steps and entered the ring.

“I don’t think he can believe it either Michael.”

They were loud, this was the reaction that he had always wanted. Too bad they were too late. For a few short moments, he’d embrace them. Who knew, maybe he’d keep a good half if he played his card right. Even Stone Cold and Bray Wyatt were loved, but he wasn’t them and he didn’t want to be. Cheered or booed, he was going to take what he got and accepted it.

“Do my ears deceive me or are you actually cheering for me?” Austin pointed to himself and shook his head. “As much as I would want to appreciate that, I can’t because I know you’re cheering for the wrong reasons.” He let out a sigh rubbing his ever famous scruffy face. “Since Summer Slam you’ve all come to the assumption that I have changed my ways and is now a “good” guy.  I’m not a good guy, I’m not even a nice guy. During this time away have you forgotten who I am and what I’ve done?  I’m sorry, but I’m the same nerdy, sleazy twisted person you’ve grown to love to hate.”

“Nice to know he hasn’t changed.” JBL chimed.

“I can’t believe that you people honestly believe that I’m somehow aligned with Reaper and Mikaela to fight against the Authority?” Austin laughed. “Nope!” He shook his head once more clutching his microphone into both of his hands to a few boos.  “Their problem isn’t mine; that isn’t my fight and it doesn’t concern me. Let’s get one thing clear though.  I do not like the Authority; Mr. and Mrs. Game, gets on my damn nerves! Brock Lesnar has what I want, and Seth Rollins has my golden ticket in getting what I want!”

The crowd was now split, that was, until ‘The Second Coming’ played on the P.A system interrupting Austin. Even though Austin claimed to still be the same guy they were used to booing, the WWE Universe hated Seth Rollins more, who proudly held up his briefcase. “Austin that was something there. It’s bad enough that you’ve comeback, but cross the Authority?” Seth was more than disgusted. “You may not be aligned with Reaper or Mikaela, but you minus well be, because you placed a target on your back and that all started when you decided to make your big comeback when I was moments away from closing in on becoming the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion.”  Seth’s dark brown eyes told the tale. He was a man on a mission, and he had to destroy the man staring right back at him with a crooked grin.

“Well, Seth, I’m right here. There’s nothing separating us than air and opportunity. If you ask me, we’ve done more than enough talking and now it’s time to fight. Swagger can stay in back, and we can take care of this right now. If you want to be champion, you have to go through me. There can only be one true face of this company, and I’ll be damned if it’s not me!”

“You are out of your mind, if you think that I’m wrestling you tonight.” Boos were heard but if there was one thing about Seth, he loved getting booed, it put a smile on his face. “They can boo all they want, because it’s not happening. Since you want to wrestle so badly, we’ll have a match, but not tonight. Now get out of my ring.”

“Make me.” The sassy Austin quipped.

“So be it.” Seth gritted his teeth and stomped towards the ring. The crowd began to rile up, and just as they thought a brawl would commence, Seth backed away. “I’m not dumb, I’m not getting into the ring with you.” Seth knew exactly what he was doing, and that was to stall.

In from behind to do the dirty work for the Authority was Kane.  The WWE Universe was his eyes and ears, but Austin was no dummy either. Though Kane had gotten Austin position for a choke slam, the dark-haired man had managed to slip out of Corporate Kane’s grip and shoved him forward. Quickly, Kane had spun around, but he turned right into an enzuigiri to the temple.  Down Kane went, and Seth wore a look of pure disappointment watching Austin drive his elbow into the big black heart of Kane with a diving elbow.

“Seth, just like Kane, this is your final rally.” Austin let out, resting on the man that they laid out. Wisely, Seth backed away and waited for Austin to leave the ring. His match was next, but thanks to A-Biz, it would be after the commercial break.
Your inboxes must be so freaking flooded from me, for that I apologize. I was going to add Raw from Anaheim, since that's where Mr. Blake resides and what not, but I got lazy. I'll do it sometime next week. I've thought about just combining Raw and SD in the past since they are literally a day a part and that's how I see them. The off screen part is one of my favorite's since I always loved the relationship Aus has with Cordelia. She is defiantly one of his best friends, and jokingly his future second wife. As for his onscreen character is concerned, I see him feuding with Seth Rollins over who's the top heel, with his fair share of run-ins with Kane here and there.

Sorry for the very late comment, but I've been absent from dA and I missed this when you first posted it...

You have no idea how happy it makes me to read interactions between Aussie and Cordy, especially the times like this when they wind each other up about baseball. I really enjoyed reading the whole thing though, and it's great to see Aussie wrestling again. You know I'm totally behind him for World Champ! :D
